We believe everyone deserves access to mental health support, regardless of their financial situation. As the cost of living continues to rise, we recognize that many people are forced to delay or forgo the care they need, even when facing significant stress. We understand that financial challenges can be a major source of pressure and conflict, making it difficult to afford the very support that can help.

To address this gap, Serenity Counselling now offers a limited number of weekly sessions at a reduced rate for clients experiencing financial hardship.

Our Low-Cost Counselling Program is available to individuals aged 18 and over in Australia. Sessions can be conducted face-to-face at our Ingle Farm location in South Australia or remotely via phone or online from anywhere in the country. A GP referral or Mental Health Care Plan is not required to access this service.

Eligibility for this program is assessed on a case-by-case basis. We consider several factors, including your family income, number of dependents, and other individual circumstances. The information you provide will be kept confidential in accordance with our privacy policy.

Due to high demand, all eligibility decisions are final.

Our standard fee is $110 per 60-minute session. For approved clients, the low-cost fee is $40 per 60-minute session.

To secure your appointment, payment is due at the time of booking. Unfortunately, until payment is received, your booking is not considered confirmed, and your slot may be offered to another client.

All payments for this program are by bank deposit only.

Because our low-cost service is funded by Serenity Counselling, available sessions are limited. We ask that you book an appointment only when you are truly ready to commit to starting sessions. This helps ensure that those most in need can access our support.

We understand that unexpected events can happen, but because our time is limited, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment.

    • Late Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice or fail to attend your appointment, your prepaid session fee will be forfeited. A new fee will be required to book your next session.
    • Illness: If you are unwell and need to cancel, please notify us by phone as soon as possible. Emails and text messages may not be received in a timely manner. In cases of repeated last-minute cancellations, we may request written confirmation of your illness.

The Low-Cost Counselling Program includes 6 sessions at the reduced rate. These sessions are scheduled at weekly intervals to ensure consistent, ongoing support. We are unable to offer sessions on a monthly or intermittent basis.

If you believe you will need more than 6 sessions, you can discuss this with your counsellor during your fifth session.
